Bonded labourers sent back to their native towns

Each of them were given Rs. 1,000 as assistance

Eight bonded labourers from Bihar rescued by district administration here recently were sent back to their native towns on Monday.

All of them were aged between 16 and 25 and brought to the city by an agent for hard labour.

The district administration made the arrangements for their journey back to the districts of Madhubani and Darbanga in Bihar from where the youth hailed from with police protection.

A Sub-Inspector and two constables were accompanying the youth.

The youth would be handed over to the respective Collectors of Madhubani and Darbanga districts by the police team.

Each of the rescued workers was given a rehabilitation assistance of Rs 1,000 by the district administration.
