T.K. Rajasekaran on Monday assumed office as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic). He replaces Pravesh Kumar who has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) – Coimbatore City.

Mr. Rajasekaran joined the Tamil Nadu Police Service in 2001 as a Group-I officer through the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. He had served in Tirunelveli, Tiruvannamalai, Q Branch, and in Chennai city. His last posting was Superintendent of Police – Perambalur.

Mr. Rajasekaran said that priority would be accorded to reduce accidents, ensuring free flow of traffic, and maintaining vigil against traffic rule violations.
