Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi attempted to stage a protest and burn Rajapakse's pictures.

Nearly 60 activists of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi were removed by the police when they attempted to stage a protest and burn the pictures of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse.

Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj had invited the Sri Lankan President to Madhya Pradesh for laying the foundation for Centre for Budhist Studies in Sanchi. The activists burned the photographs of Ms. Sushma Swaraj and that of the Sri Lankan President. Similarly, in front of the District Sessions Court complex they raised slogans against Sri Lankan President and Leader of the Opposition and burnt their photographs.
