Some 250kg of rice meant for public distribution was seized from an unreserved compartment in the Mangalore-bound West Coast Express, police said on Tuesday.
Ten bags of ration rice each weighing 25 kg were found under a seat when police checked the compartment on Monday.
No one has been arrested.
