Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Board has announced that only buses of Marudhamalai Temple and Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) will operate from the foothills to the temple atop the hill on January 17 and 19.

On both days, no private vehicle will be allowed on the ghat road from the foothills. This is being done to avoid congestion and parking problems near the temple.

On Friday, Thaipoosam car festival will take place at 9.30 a.m. and Swami Thirukkalyanam will take place between 7.30 a.m. and 9 a.m.
