Chairman of Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited K. Radhakrishnan on Thursday inspected the Multi System Operator (MSO) control room at Gandhipuram in the city. He was accompanied by Collector M. Karunakaran and Coimbatore North Constituency MLA T. Malaravan.

He also enquired about the optic fibre cable that was laid for 54 km when the control room was set-up.

He also sought details about the cable operators and the number of channels that can be accessed through the Arasu Cable TV.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Radhakrishnan said equipment purchased between 2006 to 2011 worth crores of rupee were lying idle for the last couple of years, without benefiting the common man. He added that he would visit all the four MSO's in the state and submit a report to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister would decide the further course of action, he added.
