Air Carnival to add two more aircraft

July 15, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 10:05 am IST - COIMBATORE:

Coimbatore-based regional scheduled airline Air Carnival will launch its flight service here on July 18.

With one aircraft at present, the airline will operate Coimbatore-Chennai, Chennai-Coimbatore, Chennai-Madurai, and Madurai-Chennai routes every day.

According to Manish Kumar Singh, chief executive officer, Air Carnival received the Air Operator Permit on July 4. In a few months, it will launch services to more tier-one and tier-two cities. It is hopeful of getting two more aircraft in the first week of October. At present, the airline will have Coimbatore as its base and Chennai as transit hub.

It has four layers of crew and the first flight will be from Coimbatore at 6.55 a.m. on Monday.

“The response has been good and the first flight will have 100 per cent occupancy,” he said.
