ADGP holds meeting with CII representatives

Staff of the Department of Prisons headed by Additional Director General of Police J.K. Tripathy held a meeting in Coimbatore on Sunday with representatives of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and various bodies to explore the possibility of improving the workshops in the prison complex. A release from the office of the Superintendent of the Coimbatore Central Prison says that in the meeting the Prison Department staff and participants spoke about modernising the workshops, installing new equipment, training prisoners and rehabilitating them on release.

Members of South Indian Textile Research Association, Industrial Training Institute and a few other organisations and industrialists participated. Prison Superintendent S. Rajendran coordinated the event.
