A two-for-one sale was inaugurated at the Malayarasi Co-optex showroom in Udhagamandalam by Nilgiris District Collector J. Innocent Divya on Wednesday.
The sale is being organised for Aadi season and will continue till August 13, 2017. The offer is valid for silk sarees as well as handkerchiefs, and buyers can avail of the offer based on terms and conditions set by the Co-optex. The offer will extend to pure silk sarees, Kovai Kora Cotton sarees, bedsheets, quilts, pillows, dhoties, shirts and towels.
Last year sales in the Coimbatore region, fetched the Co-optex ₹ 1.82 crore and sales are expected to cross ₹ 2.5 crore this year. In the Nilgiris, sales last year crossed ₹ 4.94 lakh and is expected to touch ₹ 8 lakh this year. Regional Manager of Co-optex, R Natrajan, Deputy Regional Manager, R Mohan Kumar were also in attendance.
