35 parks coming up in Coimbatore

As part of a facelift to the city in view of the World Classical Tamil Conference from June 23, 35 parks would be set up in and around Coimbatore with pathways for the public, Corporation Commissioner Ansul Misra said here on Monday.

A sum of Rs.8 rore has been allotted for setting up these parks in different wards, he said.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for a Rs.19 lakh park in the 52nd ward along with Mayor, R.Venkatachalam.
