203 Vinayaka idols immersed in city

A total of 203 Vinayaka idols were immersed at Muthanankulam after a procession in the city on Tuesday as part of the Vinayaka Chathurthi celebrations. According to police officials, the Hindu Munnani had organised for 95 idols, Bharat Sena 22, Vishwa Hindu Parishad 15, Vivekanandar Peravai 10, and Shiva Sena 17, besides five idols from members of the public. As many as 1,192 Vinayaka idols were immersed in Coimbatore district on Sunday.
