108 differently-abled selected to provide aid

A total of 108 differently-abled persons were selected as beneficiaries for receiving equipment under the MLAs Local Area Development Fund at the screening camp held in Krishnagiri on Thursday. About 120 beneficiaries reported for the screening.

The camp for selection of beneficiaries under the Krishnagiri Assembly Constituency was held at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Krishnagiri. District Collector V. Arun Roy inaugurated the camp.

Special doctors from the Government Hospital screened the differently-abled persons.

The beneficiaries will be given foldable sticks, tri-cycles, wheel chairs, foldable wheel chairs, hearing aids, artificial limbs, plastic calipers, metal calipers, braily watch, talking watch, black spectacles etc.

Differently-abled persons in need of the above equipment are asked to participate in the screening camps in all the assembly constituencies till November 30.
