Chidambaram not asked to head IPL probe: PMO

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has not asked Home Minister P. Chidambaram to head the Indian Premier League probe, a Prime Minister’s Office spokesman said on Friday.

Reacting to media reports, the spokesman said, “There is no truth in the story as reported that the Prime Minister has asked the Home Minister to head the IPL probe.”
