Chawla to write travelogue

July 28, 2010 02:08 am | Updated 02:08 am IST - NEW DELHI:

With just two days left in the Election Commission, Chief Election Commissioner Navin B. Chawla, who will demit office on Thursday, said he intends to write a travelogue post-retirement.

Talking to The Hindu on Tuesday he said if possible he would also try to bring out another book on Mother Teresa, who had greatly influenced his life.

He has already authored her official biography.

Mr. Chawla, who was appointed to the Election Commission as the Election Commissioner on May 16, 2005, denied reports that he might be moving to London as the High Commissioner of India. “This is not at all true,” he said.
