Two Army jawans were killed and three injured when militants, who sneaked into the Indian territory, attacked an Army patrol vehicle along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

The militants attacked the vehicle at the Nangi post when it was moving between two posts in the Krishna Gati sub-sector, Brigadier General Gurdeep Singh of 16 Corps told PTI.

Troops guarding the LoC fired back, but the militants managed to escape towards the Pakistan side.

Security along the LoC was stepped up after the incident, the Brigadier said. — PTI
