On an adventure trail

Zip through Maharashtra and Goa to win a trip to Masai Mara in South Africa

Driving enthusiasts have something to look forward to very soon.

Coming up is an exciting adventure driving series for the daring and the defiant called Apollo Flight of the Hawks.

In collaboration with Apollo Tyres, the National Geographic channel launches the new television series that challenges you to indulge in a stimulating SUV experience.

The seven-day journey will take you through unknown roads from Lavaska in Maharashtra to Goa with 12 participants in teams of two competing with each other to reach the final destination.

The participants will steer their SUVs through various obstacles to cover a 120-km stretch a day while cracking mind games and completing stunts like tight rope walking, monkey crawling and bungee jumping on the way.

Not for the weak hearted, the show is designed to test the physical ability and mental agility of the participants.

The presenter of the show is model Nethra Raghuraman, who is admittedly passionate about driving.

She says the great differentiating factor between this reality show and the others is that there is no elimination and the teams are not competing with each other but looking for an exiting adventure that would stay with them forever.

Known for their endeavours at conserving the environment, National Geographic will also be working on a carbon off-setting programme for the series.

Interested participants need to register online for on-ground selections.

The winning team gets a fully-paid trip for two to the famed Masai Mara national park in South Africa.
