Lanes of history

V elachery is hardly the first place that comes to mind when you think of Pallava architecture. But in fact, this suburb is steeped in the history of the Pallava and Chola periods, with several monuments and temples dotting the streets.

Pradeep Chakravarthy, writer and history enthusiast, is organising a walk from 8.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on December 5, to explore the social, artistic and architectural elements that remain here from the era.

The talk will be in English, but Tamil will also be used depending on the group.
