Autumn comes in at this interior design studio

Lap of luxury At La Sorogeeka

If luxury interiors mean walking through a door into a new world, La Sorogeeka, which offers design solutions from conceptualisation to completion, certainly does the trick. At its new redesigned space at Okhla, a tall 10-inch door infused with glass welcomes you into an autumn mood that India never sees naturally. The walk through the entrance to the dining area has long dry twigs inserted in a coffee-oak planter. The dining table is a set of two pieces made of stone and connected with a resin platter. The chairs are kept simple, with leather strips matching the wood finish and upholstered back. The area is lit with customised lights with cream-coloured fur and fabric.

The studio is a unique walkthrough concept showcasing a formal living room, entrance lounge, mandir, dining area, bedroom and master suite.

Customised designs

“Versatility is the strength of our brand as we think that all individuals are unique and thus try to do customised interiors according to the client’s need and taste,” says Anjali Goel, the designer. The various hues of autumn from rust to olive green to ochre all blend in the mood and display of the new collection.

Some of the finishes on wood are really new and innovative, like the dripped effect on the bed in the master bedroom. Stripped Irish walnut, stone and American walnut are some of the finishes used on the furniture.

The lacquered glass table in Anjali’s office is a piece of creativity. Giving the look of wood, it is made of glass in matt and gloss finish of champagne colour. There is an interesting interplay of different finishes, textures and colours in the collection.
