When you eat at Cream Centre, you’ll notice waiters constantly emerging from the kitchen proudly bearing plate after plate of fluffy baturas. Clearly, despite the addictive American Cheese Balls, cheesy nachos and sizzling brownies, this is the hot favourite here. The menu declares it’s been their signature dish for almost half a century.

So what’s so special? The golden-brown baturas, so big that they practically spill out of the plate, are delicious by themselves. They’re even better with the dark, tangy channa, redolent with powerfully fragrant spices.
