New Year makeover

Abhishek Bachchan will begin his 2009 innings with “Delhi – 6”, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. He is also working with wife Aishwarya in Mani Ratnam’s “Ravana”, and has recently been roped in for a cameo in Vivek Sharma’s (“Bhootnath” director) “Kal Kissney Dekha” (where SRK also has a walk-on part!). Good for Abhi fans. But what we don’t understand is why he has let himself go in the looks department. Catch him on hoardings promoting a telecom operator and he looks out of shape. Overgrown beard, paunch and unkempt looks — hope he puts an end to this ‘style’ in his movies. Or is the mourning for “Drona” still on?
