It used to be a hugely popular dish a quarter of a century ago in this unpretentious but excellent Kerala eatery, and it still is. Succulent bite-sized pieces of beef cooked with freshly ground spices and then sautéed dry with slivers of coconut, it goes well with both Kerala parottas and rice; it can also be eaten as a snack on its own. If you’re not a big eater, there’s enough to go round for two people; excellent value for money.
