Wishbone Interactive is organising a herpetology workshop between October 24 and 26. The workshop will be held on the “banks of a lake, which is 20 minutes from the town of Hunsur. Here, amidst a fruit orchard, we will have all that we need to experience all the various aspects of reptile and amphibian life. The lake offers tremendous opportunity to be able to observe these animals in their natural setting,” explain the organisers.
The focus of the workshop will be on understanding reptile taxonomy, identifying common species of snakes, lizards and turtles, a brief understanding of reptile and amphibian natural history and clarity on venom, snakebite and first aid to name a few.
The workshop will also follow positive environmental protection camping norms. There will be minimal use of plastic and other pollutants.
“Resources will be rationed and we will generally learn how to impact the environment as little as possible. This workshop is intended to bring about a sense of protection through learning.”
