HBO has a host of exciting films with something for everyone

HBO will premiere some of the recent biggest Hollywood hits on Indian television this July. Martin Scorsese’s multiple Oscar winning thriller “The Departed” will be aired on tonight. On July 19, you have a date with “Flushed away” starring Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Jean Reno and Ian Mckellen. And if this wasn’t enough, then there is “Freedom Writers” starring Hilary Swank, Patrick Dempsey, John Benjamin Hickey and Kristin Herrera will come your way on July 26. In the Sunday Super Hits section at 9 p.m., the channel will air “The Mummy” on July 13, on July 20 it is “Batman Forever” and then comes A Sound of Thunder on July 27.

In it’s “movies with a difference” section that airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m., there is “Blood Diamond” (July 16), “Darfur Now” (July 23) and “Gorillas in the Mist: Story of Dian Fossey” (July 30).

For the girls, there is “Dream Girls” “Failure to Launch”, “Rumour Has It” and “You, Me and Dupree”.

Action film aficionados can trip on “Swordfish” on July 18 and “Superman Returns” starring Brandon Routh, Kate Bosworth, James Marsden and Frank Langella on July 25.
