Game time

After the success of "Don", more games on films and serials are being planned

Online gaming has suddenly begun to lure an increasing number of viewers away from television soaps. About 18 million gamers in India are now hooked to online gaming either. After the success of the game "Don", Amitabh Bachchan launched "Baabul", an online multiplayer game, based on his forthcoming film by the same name.

"Baabul", created by Gaming Hungama, is also trying to attract hardcore television soap addicts. It is about a great Indian family, preparing for a wedding and has the same characters as in the film. Milli (Rani Mukherjee) and the rest of the family try to tease the groom Avinash (Salman Khan) and his best friend Rajat (John Abraham) by playing a game. They have to find Milli, who is hiding behind a door (24 doors in all). Those who play the game can choose to become one of the characters and the player who finds Milli, the most number of times, is the winner.

According to a recent survey, the game has caught the fancy of housewives in a big way. . Now more games are being planned based on forthcoming films and TV serial characters.
