The week ahead

THE Autumn Equinox arrives on September 23 at 4:56 GMT. It will be12 hours between sunset on Sunday night and sunrise on Monday morning, and another 12 hours before sunset on Monday night This moment of equal balance will give you the opportunity to reflect upon the aspects of your life in need of balance. Balance requires an ability to simultaneously hold two opposing thoughts while understanding the wisdom of both. Try the following exercise: Imagine the symbol for infinity, which looks like an `8' on its side. Place this image in your mind at the point between your two eyebrows, in the centre of your forehead. This is called your third eye. Visualise a smooth flow of multi-coloured light between the two halves of the horizontal `8'. This visualisation will help you harmonise both hemispheres of your brain so you may easily see the best in all opposites without being drawn to take sides.
