Brothers Shravan and Sanjay Kumaran’s business cards would read “President” and “CEO” of Go Dimensions, a mobile applications development company. What's news-worthy about that? The fact that they’re Std VIII and IV students respectively.
You know they mean business, when they organised a press meet to announce their venture and deftly fielded questions from the press .
“He’s the hardware guy and I am the software guy,” said Shravan while answering one of the questions, showing how they work with each other’s strengths to come out with four mobile applications so far for IOS and Android platforms that are now available in Apple’s App Store.
Curiosity did it!
The journey of the young programmer-duo, possibly the youngest we’ve heard of, started when their dad, an IT professional, brought home a new computer years ago and they were encouraged to learn the basics of programming, which they did eagerly. Then curiosity got the better of them, and they came up with a few applications which became a hit, especially “Catch Me Cop” with 2263 downloads in four weeks and “Alphabet Board” with 738 downloads in barely a week!
These young businessmen studying at Vael’s Billabong High International School, Chennai, have proved that there are entrepreneurs with a heart — they have vowed to give away 15 per cent of the revenue generated through ads (all their apps are free to download) to charity.
What came as a lovely surprise for the brothers was a promise from their Dean V. Venkatachalam, that if they continued with their business with the same enthusiasm and success, they would be exempted from home work and attendance restrictions. And the boys’ modest reaction to this — “We are happy but we still want to write our exams!”

Catch Me Cop: This game app has you catching a escaped convict who is on the run across deserts, beaches and mazes. With multiple levels and speeds for difficulty, the app is featured on CNET review site which hosts top applications.
Alphabet Board: A learning app that teaches kids the alphabets in a fun way. Each alphabet is accompanied by a picture and makes for easy learning.
Prayer Planet: A lifestyle app that aides praying for the pious souls on the move. It plays songs of four different religions that are categorised by their religious symbols.
Colour Palette: This app helps children learn about the various colours and differentiate them. Each colour is explained and spelt individually.
Also in the pipeline are a Mario-like adventure game and GoCard – animated e-cards that are triggered into action just by shaking the phone.
