Long before Bollywood fell in love with Australia, Fearless Nadia brought a touch of Australia to Bollywood. Indian cinema’s stunt queen, the Australian was famous whips and quips. In celebration of 100 years of Indian cinema, and as part of the OzFest cultural festival, the Australian Consulate-General presents Fearless Nadia’s most well-known film Diamond Queen . It will have live music by Australian percussionist / composer Ben Walsh and the Orkestra Of The Underground — a band of 13 musicians from Australia and India that includes tabla maestro Aneesh Pradhan.

It will be held at 6 p.m. on November 25 at Sir Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall, Lady Andal School, Harrington Road, Chetpet. Entry is free. Passes can be collected at the venue from November 21 to 24 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. upon registration by email to ChennaiAustralianConsulate@dfat.gov.au. On November 26 at 2 p.m., the film will be presented for schools. Schools can register by mailing admin@smvrch.com.
