September this year will provide Metalheads and rock fans with a reason to celebrate. America's sensational metal band with two Grammies under their belt, Korn have confirmed their first ever tour in India. Watch the legendary Jonathan Davis, James ‘Munky' Shaffer, Reginald ‘Fieldy' Arvizu and Ray Luzier in the flesh, doing what they do best. Korn is set to take Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bangalore by storm. Ticketing details, special VIP packages and concert venues will soon be available.
An excited Jonathan Davis, vocalist and band frontman said, “We are so excited to be heading to India for the first time. It's an incredible country with such a rich history, and we just can't wait to perform there for the first time ever as Korn. We see so many fans on Facebook from India, and I've personally heard how crazy Indian fans are. All I can say is that come September, it's on!”
Korn released their contentious tenth studio album, The Path of Totality in December 2011. The album was a sharp departure from the band's earlier nu-metal sound and debuted in the Top Ten on the Billboard charts, earning the approval of music lovers across the globe. The album has also been on the Billboard's Dance Electronic Albums chart and has sold over 500,000 digital singles from the album — a staggering amount for a heavy metal band.
Karamjeet Singh, Senior Vice President, Mooz entertainment hopes that starting with Korn, the company hopes to bring “some very edgy international acts” to the musically aware Indian audience. He promises quality entertainment and concert experience. The band will play three cities – Gurgaon on September 5, Mumbai on September 7 and Bangalore on September 9.
