Hansel & Gretel, T. Nagar, will be starting Phonics Reading Programme for children aged three to five. The programme will introduce children to the relationship between each letter of the alphabet and the speech sounds they produce, making reading easier. Activities will include reading and writing letters, reading and putting together words and completing sentences.
Classes will be conducted on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
For those aged five to eight years, Young Readers Workshop will be conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in two batches — batch one from 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. and batch two from 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The workshop will help children to become a confident reader through practice in recognising words, reading narratives aloud and expanding on their vocabulary.
