Ryan International School, Kundalahalli kicked off the Environment Week celebrations recently. A beautiful backdrop depicting the theme of green environment was seen in the assembly area. The teachers were dressed in green colour. A skit based on “Saving the Environment” was presented by the studnets of Std. XI. The problem of littering and deforestation and environment awareness were highlighted. School principal Prashanth Fernandes inaugurated the vegetable garden. The special activity began with slogan-writing .

Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra Bangalore held the investiture ceremony recently. Muni Krishna, vigilence director, Karnataka Lokyukta pinned the badges on the newly elected leaders. He told students to be punctual and disciplined. He also told them not to get influenced by negative forces and urged them to read autobiographies of great leaders to be inspired to lead a successful life. The new office-bearers were elected through a secret ballot by the students from Stds. IV to X. School principal Manjula administered the oath.

Siddaganga Public School, Chandra Layout , conducted a workshop for teachers recently. A T B Bose, secretary, Ramanujan Museum and a mathematician was the resource person. At the interactive session, teachers posed many questions to the resource person. L Revannasiddaiah, president of the instition inaugurated the workshop.

A young cyber talent, Kartik Chandra of Std. VIII, National Public School, Indiranagar, stood second internationally in the National Cyber Olympiad 2012, organised by the Science Olympiad Foundation. Kartik received a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for his remarkable performance.
