Triumphant Institute of Management Education (T.I.M.E) Pvt. conducted Aqua Regia , India's largest science quiz for school students across the country. The Chennai regional finals for the quiz were held in the city recently in which about 250 teams from different schools across the city participated. Unnikrishnan Nair and Arvind S. Mohan from PSBB Nungambakkam won the city finals, while V. Thejas and S. Krishna from PS Senior Secondary School, Mylapore, and Vignesh Manoharan and R. Praneeth Srivanth from Modern Senior Secondary School, Nanganallur, were the first and second runner-ups respectively. Haseeb Khan T. and Rohith KMS from Lisieux won the regional finals of the quiz.

Mohan representing PSBB Nungambakkam were the second and third runner-ups respectively. The winners of the regional finals will compete with the leading teams from across the country in national finals in Hyderabad on December 6.

As part of the “India Education Week” celebrations initiated by the United States-India Education Foundation (USIEF), a Mathematics workshop titled Courage In Mathematics was held at P.S.B.B. School, K.K.Nagar . Twenty four secondary school Mathematics teachers from 19 city schools participated in the workshop. The resource person was Dr. Wesley Calvert whose message to the teachers was that Math should be seen as a tool to simplify problems and to value creativity in students in simplifying such problems.*********
L andmark Inter School Debate was held recently with 25 schools participating in it, out of which eight went through to the finals. Finalists for the Landmark Debate are Manasvini Mukund and Barath from P.S. Senior Secondary School . Sanjay Pinto, Executive Editor (English News) NDTV Hindu and a former national debating champion, Anu Yagna Balaji, Vice President & Head- Corporate Communications Polaris, Aasim Shehzad, Advocate & Partner – BFS Legal and Americai V. Narayanan, Ex-Headquarters Secretary – Tamil Nadu Congress & Chairman – Easy insurance India, were the judges.
