The Rotary International District 3190 is organising ‘Hridaya Raaga', a music programme on February 16, to mark the completion of K.J. Yesudas's 50 years in the Kannada film industry. The programme, which also coincides with the 71st} birthday of the singer, will be held at Tripuravasini, Palace Grounds, Devanahalli Airport Road, from 6 a.m. onwards.
Kannada film director K.S.L. Swamy said another noted music director and composer Ilayaraja will honour Dr. Yesudas. Mr. Swamy said that film actors, music directors and various dignitaries from the film industry will be participating in the event. Veteran film actor S. Shivaram said that Mr. Yesudas would render songs in honour of Kannada film actors such as the late Rajkumar and Vishnuvardhan, besides Ravichandran, Ambareesh and Upendra.
Apart from Mr. Yesudas, various other well-known musicians such as S.P. Balasubramaniam, P. Susheela, L.R. Eshwari and Manjula Gururaj will be part of the programme.
The tickets cost Rs. 500 and are available at 40 branches of Sangeetha Mobile shops across the city and Landmark at Forum Mall, Reliance Timeout and all Rotary Clubs of Bangalore.
