Diets come with the stress of having to prepare and plan every meal. How about a diet which has more than one option to choose from in the form of bars. When a friend handed me a box, I was almost disheartened to read NutNut written on it. What usually come from her home are aromatic ladoos from Kanpur.

What made her change it to nuts? I wondered and pulled opened the box with the drawer handle. What came out was neatly packed chocolate-like bars. Mango, almond, coconut, read the wrapper and as I drove I unwrapped the bar and started munching on it.

“What are they?” I hastily called her after making a halt. Paleo bars she said “is healthy food and snacking option for a burgeoning market that is increasingly living a sedentary and relatively unhealthy lifestyle.”

Priced at ₹ 75 NutNut is dryfruit based on-the-go snack bars that are nutrient dense and made with minimal to no processing. The food formulation philosophy of NutNut is centred around retaining the original nutrition profile of its ingredients without compromising on taste.

How did NutNut take its shape in Hyderabad. Brijesh Chandwani and Subram Kapoor the mind behind launch and marketing of the bars introduced them this year across 100 modern retail stores. It was originally launched in four flavours; The original pistachio almond, the zingy cranberry, the classic darkchoco and the royal mango coconut.

“These are those kind of bars which you need not force yourself to eat in the name of eating healthy or diet food. The ingredients strike a balance between the contrasting flavours. Each bite is a burst of flavours allowing you to enjoy your snack and also keeps you going for a couple of hours,” explains Subhram Kapoor.

The founder of NutNut, Paavani Jella is a believer of paleo foods concept. “Paleo is a word derived from the word Palaeolithic. Paleo diet simply means eating like our ancestors did; that is having nuts and dry fruits and vegetables in their raw nutrient dense form with absolutely minimal to no processing. With this vision, NutNut was created to provide a gluten-free, grain-free and dairy-free food option. Paleo foods serve the purpose of satiating hunger while providing immense nutrition value into your daily diet.

NutNut bars are made out of rich nuts, berries and dry fruits are at the heart of the paleo philosophy and incredibly healthy to eat,” adds Subhram.

What makes NutNut different from other health bars in the market. “We are the first to launch Paleo bars in the market; and the first of a kind to launch with whole nut and dry fruit bars that are grain/dairy free. The other bars in the market are either a millet or a grain based bar with preservatives and glucose,” Brijesh Chandwani explains.

The product is also unique when compared to other granola bars in the market that are made using a spattering of broken nuts in their bar blends.
