A preview of collections from Lakme Fashion Week at Studio Saks today and tomorrow
Studio Saks presents a preview of the latest collections from Lakme Fashion Week today and tomorrow. The promotion features the designs of Delhi-based designer Pia Pauro, upcoming labels of Astha & Sidharth, fusion fashion by Vaishali S, and jewellery and accessories by Vasundhara, Sourabh Kant and ConFusion.
Pia Pauro’s label titled Shamal is inspired by the deserts of the Middle East. The colours used are bursts of neon merged with electric blue, indigo, orange, natural tones and pink. The prints have been created on jersey, chiffon, georgette, cotton and silk. The range includes sundresses, tunics, swimwear, beach bags, handmade accessories, kaftans, saris and eveningwear.
Astha & Sidharth from Delhi have created a collection inspired by the things we adored as children. The collection is a conversation between quirkiness and androgyny, created by juxtaposing various elements — colour, structure, texture, pleats, tulle and, most important, the slicing of garments.
Vaishali S by Vaishali Shadangule encompasses contemporary and traditional Indian wear, Indo-western and westernwear.
Payal Kapoor, art gallerist and textile designer, debuts this season with ‘Famous’, designed for the modern woman. The line blends the traditional with the modern. Art plays a great role in her creative palette and she works with textures and surface adornment.
Kolkata-based Vasundhara’s jewellery synchronises Indian, European and American ideas. The collection comprises earrings, pendants, rings, bracelets and watches of semi precious stones, set in silver.
Confusion Fashion Accessories creates unique designs to match the season. The range comprises neckpieces that complement plain tees and denims.
Sourabh Kant’s Unisex brand, concentrates on the avant-garde. He works with metal and acrylic and pairs these elements with leather and stones.
The preview will be held at Studio Saks, 17/9 Jeypore Colony, Padmavathi Road, Gopalapuram.
