And now ...
Film Director Shankar with Vikram.
THE CROWD was out of control and in a riotous mood. It resembled the scene outside a movie hall on the day a film is released. Fortunately, the crowd was in no mood to fight.
The crowd trooped in only to have a glimpse of the man who was causing all the commotion.
After clobbering baddies in `Dhool' and `Saamy,' Vikram seems ready to slip into a similar role in `Anniyan'. Anniyan is the next film from director Shankar, starring Vikram and Sadha in the lead roles. Puja for the film was performed in AVM studios today.
Life-size promotional stills of the star inside the studio reminded guests of the director's debut film `Gentleman.'
The tagline for `Anniyan' ran thus: `He who comes from hell is not afraid of hot ashes.'
The promotional stills showed Vikram in three moods: A docile office-goer, a terrorising axe-wielder in a dark outfit with a hood and as a flamboyant youth.
"For the first time, I feel a bit afraid and it will be a challenge for me to do this role," Vikram confessed. The actor said the film had a good script by Sujatha and great music by Harris Jeyaraj.
Asked if he played a double-role in the movie, the actor replied that it was a surprise.
"I would love to do even 10 roles in the movie if the director asks me to."
Vikram said he was feeling excited to be playing Shankar's latest movie, the director's seventh film.
Shooting for the movie, produced by Oscar Films, is likely to begin by the end of the month and is expected to be released for Deepavali.
