(Questions answered on career concerns)
If an interviewer asks what kind of a work environment are you comfortable in working, what should I say? Can you give me some sample responses to answer this question?
Kamaal Khan
Hyderabad
Here are a couple of responses that may fit the question:
`I am very comfortable with the environment which gives me a chance to explore my skills and ability. I would like to work both in a group as well as independently as and when required. I am comfortable in an environment which has open communication among team members. I am very hard working and creative and would like an environment where I could be productive.'
Try to relate your answer to the environment at that company with whom you are interviewing. End your answer by saying that you feel the environment at this company will provide you with enough opportunities to use and enhance your skills and be productive for the benefit of the company.

In an interview how do you answer the question `why do you wish to join our organisation'?
Surekha Khetri
Kochi
Link the job description, as you understand it, to your interests, studies, work experience and values. Show interest in the objectives and philosophies of the organisation, and describe how you see your own career aspirations fitting in with these.
Avoid giving clichéd answers like "Because you advertised for the post on your website, I applied for the post." Your answer should state what you think are the most interesting aspects of the company. For example, "because it is on the cutting edge of technology" or "because you are the industry leader" et al.
Emphasise the positive reasons why you want to join their company, but avoid aspects of monetary gains and working hours. These will definitely not endear you to a prospective employer. Remember to answer questions positively.
