Bharatiya Janata Party Andhra Pradesh State President and Visakhapatnam MP K. Haribabu asserted that injustice will not be done to the State as the Central Government was extending all possible help to it while looking into the promise of special category status and its benefits to the fledgling State.

The BJP Government has committed to give adequate financial assistance for construction of the Capital city and taking up other projects.

“The BJP will deliver what all has been promised to the State and even go beyond the plans envisaged in the A.P Reorganization Act to help the State tide over the crisis”, he asserted.

Addressing media persons here during Jana Kalyan Parv on Tuesday, Mr. Haribabu said that eight projects / institutions of national importance have already been sanctioned for the State and people would see more such things happening in the near future. Anantapur has got a National Academy for Customs and Excise in spite of it not figuring in the A.P Reorganization Act.

Power surplus

Many such prestigious things would come to the State. A.P became power surplus because it was one of the three States chosen by the Central Government for its round-the-clock supply schemes.

“The BJP and TDP are working together for development of A.P and people should not be worried about the special category status”, he said and refused to dwell further on the issue that has triggered an intense debate in the State.

BJP Rule

Mr. Haribabu said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had delivered clean governance in the first year of his rule and forged friendly ties with 18 countries. Mr. Modi was not averse to nurturing cordial relations with Pakistan which was considered a sworn enemy of India.

The auctioning of 20 coal blocks and 2G spectrum in a transparent manner enriched the national exchequer by over Rs 3.10 lakh crore. Inflation was under control and top priority was financial inclusion. This was evident from the huge number of bank accounts opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and other schemes.

Steps taken by the ruling dispensation put the economy back on track on different counts he said and added that the country would reach greater heights in the remaining tenure of Mr. Modi.

BJP City and District Presidents D. Umamaheswara Raju and R. Venkata Krishna were among those present.
