The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Thursday arrested the Rajendranagar Sub-Registrar and a private person, through whom he had allegedly received Rs. 15,000 bribe, to release some property documents.

The Sub-Registrar, J. Venkateswarlu, demanded the bribe from Eliyas when the latter approached him to release General Power of Attorney documents relating to a property in Rajendranagar. He received the bribe through a private person who tested positive when subjected to a chemical test, the ACB DSP Chandrashekhar said. The accused officer and the private person would be presented before a court.
