Holders Bayern Munich were handed a match with English champions Manchester United in the Champions League quarter-final draw Friday.

Bayern are attempting to become the first team to successfully defend the trophy since AC Milan in 1990. The first leg is in Manchester before the second leg takes place in Munich.

Real Madrid were drawn at home to Borussia Dortmund in a repeat of the semi-final from last season which was won by Juergen Klopp’s side.

The draw made at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, also produced an all Spanish clash between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid while Paris St Germain face Chelsea in the other tie.

First-leg matches will be played on April 1-2 with the return matches are on April 8-9.

The final is in Lisbon on May 24.

In the Europa League…

Juventus were paired with Lyon in Friday’s draw for the quarter-final of the Europa League, as the Italian giants attempt to reach the final which is to be played in their own stadium.

Three-time UEFA Cup winners Juventus travel to France for the first leg before welcoming Lyon to Turin for the return match.

Sevilla were rewarded for their victory over city rivals Real Betis in the previous round with an away tie to Porto. Fellow Spaniards Valencia also start on the road, travelling to take on Basel.

The final clash paired AZ Alkmaar with Benfica, with the Dutch side having home advantage in the first leg.

The quarter-final ties are played over two legs on April 3 and 10.

The final is in Turin on May 14.
