Govt Boys School gets RO gift

NAMAKKAL: The Junior Chamber International (JCI) donated a reverse osmosis (RO) drinking water system costing Rs. 10,000 to the Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Senthamangalam, Namakkal district recently. S. R. Murugesan, Anand, Sudhakar and Ezhilselvan, all JCI members handed over the ROsystem to M. A. Udayakumar, headmaster of the school. Udayakumar and P. Muthusamy, assistant headmaster, thanked the JCI for its gesture.

Vidya Nethrra students spread Ozone awareness

POLLACHI: Vidya Nethrra Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Gomangalampudur observed World Ozone day. Various competitions were held to highlight the impact and effect of depleting Ozone layer. Awareness was created among students through competitions like essay writing, elocution, drawing, quiz etc.

The principal M.Gopalakrishnan felicitated the participants. To create awareness, members of Junior Red Cross (JRC) and National Green Crops (NGC) went on with a placard in rally emphasizing the fact that every one should take preventive measures to protect Ozone layer damage.

CUDDALORE: Grandparents Day was celebrated at Kidzee@Sri Valliammal Matric Higher Secondary School. Children made greeting cards and wished their grandparents. Games were held in which the grandparents and students participated.

Western Ghats School students go on field trip

COIMBATORE: The students of classes IV to VIII of The Western Ghats International School were taken to Hotel Taj Vivanta, Coimbatore for a field trip. They visited the different sections of the hotel like the store room, swimming pool, restaurants, and kitchens to see how they work. The students asked several doubts about the functioning of the organisation.

Meanwhile, the success of ISRO’s Mars Orbiter Mission was celebrated by the Space Club. The principal presided over the function, and Kumari Vidhya, the coordinator of the club explained the significance of the mission. Students greeted each other and sang rhymes on the success, praising India and chanting Jai Hind. Rocket and Satellite models from ISRO took centre stage.

incredible feat achieved by the country has been hailed world over. Every Indian citizen is proud of the scientists, they said.
