Annual Day at Jadavbai Nathmal School

Chennai: Sri Jadavbai Nathmal Singhvi Jain Nursery and Primary School celebrated its annual day recently at Narada Gana Sabha.

G.V. Subramaniam, managing trustee, was the chief guest and presided over the function. The correspondent N. Sugal Chand Jain gave the awards for 100 per cent attendance to the students. The theme for the day was ‘Chakra’ and the students gave presentations about the invention of the wheel.

Different performances based on the mode of transportation were presented by the students.

Magical ten marked at Lalaji Omega 

Chennai: The Cambridge Section of Lalaji Memorial Omega International School celebrated its eighth Annual School Day recently at the EVP Rajeshwari Palace Hall, Kolapakkam. The chief guest was Sanjay Bhatia, Sales tax commissioner, Govt. of Maharashtra. The annual report of the Cambridge section was read out by the head boy and head girl, and the prizes were distributed to the achievers and toppers by the chief guest. He addressed the gathering and stressed on the need to maintain integrity in every aspect of life. Then came the cultural performances and dances, songs, skits which were of international themes but revolving around the magical ten as this was the tenth year of the school’s coming into existence.

There were ten types of dances, ten musical instruments, ten emotions portrayed and so on.

Vidhya Niketan group launches Li’l Pallikkoodam 

Coimbatore: Li’l Pallikkoodam” an early learning centre was recently inaugurated by Archana Patnaik, Coimbatore Collector.

Falling under the Vidhya Niketan group of institutions, Li’l Pallikkoodam is a Reggio inspired concept school.

Space craze at St John’s

Chennai: St. John's Public School observed World Space Week, with a host of activities. The students were asked to write articles on India’s space world. Their art work and drawings based on the theme were also displayed through the week.

A seminar on the topic "India's Strengths and Challenges in Space Research” was conducted for the for the secondary school students. Dr Guruvayurappan, a scientist from ISRO addressed the students, after which he participated in an interactive session with the students.

 Campus clean-up at Natesan Vidyasala

Chennai: At Shri Natesan Vidyasala, Mannivakkam, everybody on the campus participated in the ‘Swachh Bharath’ campaign. The Chairman, Principal, Trustee, Staff and students of the school were part of cleaning spree around the school neighbourhood, and they filled the garbage bins, segregated the waste and disposed them off.

Dr N. Ramasubramanyan, chairman, addressed the students and emphasised the need to initiate and participate in community activities.
