AVP Trust students inducted into JRC

Tirupur: The Junior Red Cross was inaugurated recently at A.V.P Trust Public School. Rotarian A.Karthikeyan, chairman of A.V.P institutions honoured the chief guest K. Balasubramaniam, convenor of Junior Red Cross, which was followed by a speech by the chief guest. Red Cross juniors took an oath to render their service to society.

Young leaders take oath at Amrita Vidyalayam

Coimbatore: Amrita Vidyalayam, Nallampalayam organised the Investiture Ceremony for its students recently. The programme was presided over by Ganapathy Pillai, Academic Director of Amrita Vidyalayams, Tamil Nadu.

The Chief Guest was Dr Shanmugavalli, HOD of Physical Education, Avinashilingam Deemed University.

The students are divided into four houses - Amritamayi, Anandamayi,Chinmayi and Jyothirmayi - and events are organised on this basis. The student council is led by Head Boy Ajay and Head Girl Aarthi, and the students were sworn in and honoured with sashes and badges.

Student council takes charge at Aurobindo

Tiruchi: The investiture ceremony of Aurobindo International Senior Secondary School started with a prayer song and welcome address by Principal Jean Jaculine. The ceremony continued with the swearing in of all the post holders SPL, ASPL, House Captains and Ministers of Sports, Fine Arts, Environmental, Educational and Discipline Club.

Dr. Abdul Samath, chest specialist, was the chief guest. School Chairman G. Ravichandran, Secretary Pramila Ravichandran, were present.

New team at Campion Anglo Indian School

Tiruchi: A colourful investiture ceremony was held at Campion Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Tiruchi, recently.

Abhinav Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), who was the chief guest, explained to students the qualities of a good leader.

A.S. Leo Aldrinraj and J. Leander Melwin took charge as the school pupil leader and assistant pupil leader respectively. The masters, captains, and vice-captains of various houses also took charge on the occasion.

Activities galore at Carmel

Tiruchi: Carmel’s Group of Schools conducted many events recently. In view of ‘World Day against Child Labour’, a special assembly was held, and a skit was enacted to emphasise the importance of preventing child labour.

On World Music Day, a youth for Christ team from Chennai presented an entertaining music programme for the children.

To mark World Blood Donation Day, a special assembly was conducted to educate students about the importance of donating blood and the process of doing so.
