New Delhi (PTI): The BJP is set to take on the Government on issues like inflation, terrorism and Ram Setu during the Budget Session of the Parliament, with the party leadership asking its MPs to be present in full strength when the matters are taken up for discussion.

"The BJP Parliamentary Party met on Tuesday under the chairmanship of L K Advani...Advaniji said addressing the members that the atmosphere in the country was pro-NDA. People want to bring NDA back to power," BJP spokesman V K Malhotra told reporters.

He said, in this context, it was discussed how President Pratibha Patil's speech in Parliament on Monday was completely silent on issues such as inflation, terrorism, farmer's suicides, package for Kashmiri Pandits and Ram Setu.

"It was agreed that the members should be ready on these issues and should be present in Parliament to discuss them," Malhotra said.

He said the BJP Parliamentary Party also criticised the Congress-led UPA for "putting pressure on the Election Commission to delay the elections in Karnataka."

"The Congress is conspiring to delay the elections by six months as it can sense defeat," he said.

Malhotra said the BJP demands that the Assembly elections in the southern state be held by May this year.

"Elections can easily be held by May 28. There should be no extension of President's rule in the state," he said.
