Sri Lanka wins toss, sends Zimbabwe in to bat
HARARE (AP): Sri Lanka skipper Mahela Jayawardene won the toss on Friday and sent Zimbabwe in to bat in the fourth limited-overs cricket international.
The Sri Lankans, with a 3-0 lead in the five-match series, rested champion spin bowler Muttiah Muraritharan and gave 21-year-old allrounder Angelo Matthews his ODI debut.
Pace bowler Dhammika Prasad, with 3 ODI caps, was recalled along with Dilhara Fernando, replacing seamers Nuwan Kulasekera and Farveez Maharoof.
For Zimbabwe, Sean Williams was dropped because selectors want to ``shorten'' the Zimbabwe batting order and give captain Prosper Utseya more options. He is replaced by allrounder Keith Dabengwa.
Lineups:
Zimbabwe: Hamilton Masakadza, Vusi Sibanda, Chamu Chibhabha, Tatenda Taibu, Stuart Matsikenyer, Elton Chigumbura, Keith Dabengwa, Prosper Utseya (captain), Ray Price, Tawanda Mupariwa, Ed Rainsford.
Sri Lanka: Mahela Jayawardene (captain), Kumar Sangakkara (wicketkeeper), Upul Tharanga, Mahela Udawatte, Chamara Kapudegedera, Jehan Mubarak, Angelo Mathews. Thilina Thushara, Dhamnika Prasad, Ajantha Mendis, Dilhara Fernando.
