Kochi blast probe heading in right direction: Balakrishnan
Kochi (PTI): The probe into the explosion at the Ernakulam collectorate last week is progressing in the "right direction", Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said.
Mr. Balakrishnan, who arrived here after attending the CPI(M) politburo meeting in Delhi last night, told reporters that the probe into the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast on July 10 was heading in the right direction.
Without elabourating on the investigation, he said that police had been asked to seek help of any agency to bring the culprits to book.
Mr. Balakrishnan held discussions with senior police officers regarding the progress of the probe and said security of institutions including the collectorate would be enhanced.
An explosion, triggered by Improvised Explosive Device (IED) had occurred during office hours on the fifth floor of the collectorate, housing government departments, at nearby Kakkanad on July 10.
No one was injured in the incident.
