Nigerian who supplied cocaine to college students identified
Mumbai (PTI): The mobile phone details of a Nigerian, who allegedly supplied cocaine to two college students arrested here two days ago, have been gathered and he would be nabbed soon, an Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) official said on Friday.
"We have got the phone details of the supplier named Yousuf from the mobile phones confiscated from the arrested college students. We tried his number but it was switched off," the investigating official told PTI.
"Once it is on, we will track down his whereabouts and nab him," the official added.
On Wednesday, ANC arrested two students — Mohit Ramchandani (23) and Ifzan Izrar Baig (19) — after they recovered cocaine from them near Bhavan's college in South Mumbai.
Seven companions of the accused, identified as Sachin Madhvani, Shubhraj Giriraj Suman, Pranav Barot, Aniket Sawant, Shailesh Rathod, Vipin Kotekar and Priyank Shah, were let off after nothing was found from them. All are students of different reputed colleges in south Mumbai, police said.
"The report of forensic tests on urine and blood samples will be ready in a week's time," the officer said, adding necessary action would be taken against the seven if cocaine contents are found in the samples.
