Moderate earthquake hits Andaman Islands
New Delhi (PTI): A moderate earthquake on Saturday hit the Andaman Islands, Met department said here.
The tremor measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale shook the islands at 0110 hrs.
There was no immediate report of any damage due to the quake, met officials said.
This is the third earthquake in this week to hit the Andaman Islands.
A moderate tremor hit the islands on Thursday, while a high-intensity earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter Scale shook the islands along with many cities in southern and eastern India on August 11.
