The Serum Institute of India (SII) here on Monday started phases two and three of the clinical human trials of the swine flu vaccine it has developed.
The institute received the go-ahead from the Drug Controller-General of India (DCGA) on Friday.
The trials will be conducted at 10 hospitals in Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Indore, Lucknow, Ludhiana and Bangalore. Speaking to The Hindu, additional medical director of the institute Prasad Kulkarni said: “The trials will go on for three months.”
