Food and music fiesta

A festival of popular music and Orissa delicacies pleased the gathering.

Utkal Samskritika Samaj organised its annual much-awaited feature of food festival along with devoutly delectable lyrics set to scintillating music and soothingly rendered by front line singers of Orissa. Being Sunday, it attracted an overwhelming response. About a score of varieties of delicacies of Orissa were prepared and brought and served at the premises adjacent to the Samaj's Open Air Auditorium.
The popular team of Sangeeth Sargam of the state regaled the very large number of people guests gathered there. Cine playback singers and winners of the Sur Jhankar and ETV awards, led by its founder director Dillu Sahu rendered devotional, folk and Adhunik geeth in addition to some hit songs from Oriya feature films.
Mamatha Sahu, Sagar Kumar, Monica, Sneha and Ratikant with Dillu entertained the audience. Chittaranjan on keyboard, Manoranjan Adhikari on tabla, Bapibabu on Bango drums, Babi on pads and Tuna Da on guitar lent invigorating support.
