Back to shock!

Since the advent of satellite TV very few series have managed not to outlive their welcome. But "Aahat" did. Now Sony, hoping to revitalise its programming, has brought back an all new series of the show aimed at capturing the inherent connection between the natural and the supernatural. Produced by good old B.P. Singh, it has Chaitanya Choudhry, Vishal Satish Gandhi and Krystle D' Souza in lead roles.

Beyond Hollywood

English movie channels are looking beyond Hollywood stuff to please their discerning audience. Zee Studio offers some quality stuff on Sunday noons. . Watch out for "A Woman in Winter" on November 22, "Besieged" on November 29. While the former explores an obsessive and destructive love affair between an astronomer and a photographer, the latter is the story of the beautiful Shandurai, who goes into exile in Italy, studying medicine and keeping house for an eccentric English pianist.

Regressive technique?

It seems paranormal is returning in a big way as NDTV Imagine launches a reality show called "Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka", where the technique of past life regression will be used to find answers to questions that trouble us in the present! Host Ravi Kissen is leaving no vocal chord unturned to sound suitably eerie and to lend credibility, the channel has hired clinical psychologist Dr. Trupti Jain.

The turnaround

We often ignore the contribution of northern states in making India's economy sound and shock resistant. Now CNBC Awaaz is looking at the transformation of states like Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh in itsspecial series "Uttar Uday", highlighting this transformation of northern India from a predominantly agrarian to an increasingly industrial economy.
